| | HIS FIRST STUDIO ALBUM IN 6 YEARS! JOHN FOGERTY IS AN AMERICAN ICON who has built and sustained his career through consistent touring and continual recording. First with his legendary band Creedance Clearwater Revival and then on his own as a solo artist. In 1970, John wrote “Who ’ll Stop The
Rain.” Over 30 years later, with Deja vu, John continues to believe that music and art can effect change.
John Fogerty is true Hall of Famer – one of the greatest rock & rollers to ever play the game. Now with his latest album, Deja vu (All Over Again), Fogerty returns to show us all over again why he has long been considered one of our greatest American singer-songwriters. Fogerty ’s enduring songs like “Proud Mary ” and “Fortunate Son ” are now so firmly engrained in our collective consciousness they seem to have come to us from the American soil as much as from any one man. But there is only one man who penned such classic songs like “Bad Moon Rising,” “Lodi,”
“Looking Out My Back Door,” “Run Through The Jungle ” and “Centerfield ” to name just a few of the modern
standards that Fogerty has brought us. This music struck such a huge, resounding chord in America – and around the world – that has never gone away. Now with Deja vu (All Over Again), Fogerty strikes that same sort of chord with an inspired new album that beautifully showcases his artistry and his soul.

Presenting John Fogerty--the name you know, the music you trust--in a new, improved 2004 version! DEJA VU ALL OVER AGAIN contains tunes that admirers of classic rock can appreciate, like the old-school, acoustic blues-rock of "Honey Do." The record features themes reminiscent of Fogerty's heyday, particularly the quasi-political title track. And, just when you thought it couldn't get any better, there's Mark Knopfler laying down those "Sultans of Swing" licks on "Nobody's Here Anymore." Owing a lot to Creedence Clearwater Revival circa PENDULUM, the DEJA VU of the album's title feels more like a summing up. The crispy riffs of "She's Got Baggage" and the Cream-y "In the Garden" may rock harder, leaner, and cleaner than anything Fogerty has ever done, but "Rhubarb Pie" and "I Will Walk with You" have a feel reminiscent of Fogerty's BLUE RIDGE RANGERS album. Elsewhere, the "Wicked Old Witch" could be the wife of Fogerty's earlier "The Old Man Down the Road." Fortunately, this all adds up to the kind of familiarity that breeds anything but contempt, making DJA VU a warm reminder of this rock & roll giant's gift. | Producer: John Fogerty |
